Alessandro Fei

Vasari's Assistant

Goldsmith's Workshop, Studiolo di Francesco I

Not much is know about Alessandro Fei (1543–1592), except that his nickname was 'the Barber' and he often worked with Giorgio Vasari in the Palazzo Vecchio and the Studiolo di Francesco I, which has best known painting, the Goldsmith's Workshop (1571).

Other works are in SS. Apostoli, and Santa Croce (an altarpiece of the Flagellation of Christ).
