pasta di meliga

cornflour biscuits

In Piedmontese, corn is meliga or melia, and these traditional biscuits are made with a mix of corn and wheat flour, butter, sugar, eggs and lemon zest.

The paste di meliga del Monregalese, made with stone-ground corn flour in Mondovì, are in the Ark of Taste.
