camomilla

camomile

There are two kinds in Italy: wild and camomilla romana (Anthemis nobilis) used for flavouring vermouth and other drinks, occasionally in desserts, and as a tea that helps the Italians get to sleep. Good for the digestion too, in a tisana.

The Romans like to flavour wine with it: vino al camomilla
