kaki

Sometimes called diospiro, they grow throughout much of Italy, the trees adding a striking note of colour in the late autumn with their orange fruit. They look better than they taste (which is way too sweet for most); people who have the trees will try to sneak them in your house when you've turned your back, so beware of moving in next door to a kaki tree owner.
