cappon

a capon...or a fish

Sometimes spelled capone. The Cappone di Morozzo, tasty birds from a small town in between Cuneo and Mondovì in western Piedmont, is in the Slow Food Presidium. In December Morozzo holds a Fiera di Cappone.

Cappone is also a word in central Italy for a fish—tub gurnard or gallinella.
