brioche

pastry

A general word for a breakfast pastry, made with a croissant-type dough (so not to be confused with a French brioche). Generally, if you have breakfast in a bar, you have the choice of a cornetto (croissant) or a brioche (usually round, but not always). Either kind can include chocolate or jam.
