Ghiotta can mean three things:

  1. a female glutton
  2. an adjective for something delicious
  3. a rich sauce

This appears in famous dishes such as pesce spada alla ghiotta, for which no two recipes are alike. There's no real definition—it's just a way of promising something extra special.
