Fresh Dill on the wooden cutting board

Although it’s native to the Mediterranean, aneth (dill or dillweed) is not a big, big favourite; you mainly see it with salmon dishes and can often find it fresh in the refrigerator section in the supermarket, or dried.

Dill seeds used in cornichons are graines d'aneth.
