I couldn't believe my good fortune to come across your guide to Southwest France. My husband and I traveled there last May and fell in love with the countryside, people, ambience, etc. Lately I've been anxious to get more detailed information which your book provides... The whole region is extraordinary. How lucky for you to be a part of it. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
We just wanted to write and thank you for your marvelous series of travel books on France and Italy. Unlike most tourist guides, you capture the character of each place, and look behind the promotional veneer. The enormous work you must done to research these fascinating place is much appreciated.
A quick note from a Francophile New Zealander currently moving about in the Southwest of France. With the great help of your guide we have spent the past three months living in the Presbytère attached to the tiny church of St Anne de Belvès. Our dialing adventures have usually included searching your guide for interesting notes and background on the places we have chosen to visit.
Re: The Cadogan Guide to the Dordogne, Lot, and Bordeaux: What a delight and what a help! Just returned from two weeks based mostly in Sarlat and Toulouse and used the guide extensively. Better than the Michelin, for sure.
