boule de neige

Agaricus arvensis, a mushroom which, when big and round, can indeed resemble a boule de neige (snowball). They are frequently found near horse fields.

A boule de neige can also be a small cake or biscuit covered with powdered sugar, grated coconut or thickened cream.
