cèpe des pins

pine bolete

Three Boletus pinophilus

Boletus pinophilus, the cèpe des pins (pine bolete or pinewood king bolete) is considerably rarer than its cousin, the cèpe de Bordeaux, but said to be even tastier if you do find them (May-June and September-October are the seasons in France).

Also known as the cèpe acajou and cèpe des pins de montagne.
