lépiote pudique

white dapperling

White daperling, smooth lepiota, or smooth Parasol

Leucoagaricus leucothites. Also known as the colombette, the lépiote pudique grows in meadows and on lawns in France in the autumn.

It’s edible, but not among the tastiest fungi, and easily confused with the highly poisonous amanites blanches mortelles. Unless you are very sure of what you’ve picked, it’s not worth the bother.
