bûche de Noël

Yule log

A traditional French bûche de Noël (Yule log cake) bought from a small bakery in Colomars, Alpes-Maritimes, France, served at a Christmas eve dinner.

It can be any flavour, plain or lavishly decorated, frozen or not— but it’s a bûche de Noël, France’s traditional Christmas cake, if it’s rolled up like a jelly roll and looks like a log.
