bigaradier

bitter (or Seville) orange

Bitter oranges (C. aurantium) in the Jardines del Alcázar de Sevilla, Spain

Along with marmelade, the bigaradier, or bitter orange, is used in many perfumes and orange flower water (eau de fleur d'oranger), while their zest, mostly sourced from Haiti, goes into several French liqueurs, such as Triple sec, Grand Marnier and Cointreau.
