The main fish used in frozen fish dishes and fish fingers (bâtonnets de poisson), colin can be one of several fish—lieu noir (coley) or jaune (pollack) or merlu (hake).

pollock (Theragra chalcogramma)

Colin d’Alaska (Walleye Pollack) is the most industrially fish fished in the world, mostly caught between Japan and Alaska.
