spicy or mild Spanish-style sausage


Dried or fresh, spicy or mild longanisse (also spelled langanisse) is a pork sausage that the French have adopted from Spain. Stuffed in a mutton casing, it has a distinct flavour thanks to its spices—green anise, allspice, cinnamon, pepper, sweet pepper, garlic, salt and nutmeg.
