Acorn. Long synonymous with the food of poverty, acorns and their flour are enjoying a revival in Greece, especially thanks to the Oakmeal initiative run by an Greek-American couple at the Red Tractor Farm on the island of Kéa, which has large oak groves.

Acorns are gluten free and high in vitamins and fiber; the company currently makes flour, cookies and a chew, and have numerous shops around Greece.
