lazaráki

λαζαράκη

Sweet spicy bread, made during Lent without eggs or dairy products and shaped like a man wrapped in a shroud. In Greece and Cyprus it's often prepared for the Saturday of St Lazarus, at the beginning of Orthodox Holy Week, to celebrate the famous miracle of Jesus.
