tsigaréli

τσιγαρέλι

Spicy mixed greens (the more peppery the better) on Corfu, served at Lent, with garlic, chili flakes, leeks, tomatoes and parsley. Outside of Lent, they may be prepared in a chicken broth.

Sometimes known as Κερκυραϊκό Τσιγαρέλι (kerkyraikó tsigarélli), or Corfiot tsigarelli. The word, a bit confusingly, also means cigarettes!
