grolla dell' amicizia

Drinking steaming caffé valdostana (coffee with wine or genepy, grappa, sugar orange and lemon peel) from the many spouted grolla is the traditional way to end a meal in the Valle d'Aosta. It's generally set alight before partaking; some recipes omit the coffee altogether.
