Sambene dulche

pig's blood mixed with chocolate

Made in the Gallura region of Sardinia and similar to the Basilicata's sanguinaccio dolce: a mix of pig's blood, sugar, rum, aniseed, cinnamon and butter, stuffed in an intestineand boiled, and eaten either hot or cold.
