Literally 'pepper bread' and very similar to panforte and pampapato. It's popular in Terni (Umbria), where it's been made for over 500 years, and in the neighbouring province of Rieti (Lazio), where just before Christmas Collevecchio celebrates a Sagra del Pampepato.
