Gelo di Mellone

Originally from Sicily, this is usually a smooth fruit dessert, thickened with corn starch or flour and half-frozen. It can also be based on coffee, or cinnamon, or watermelon (gelo di melone), with crushed added pistachios, candied peel, or grated chocolate.
