Valle d'Aosta fromadzo

cow's milk cheese from Aosta

Made since the 15th century throughout the autonomous region of the Valle d'Aosta, this cheese differs from full fat fontina in that comes in a semigrasso and magro (half fat and skim milk) version, or flavoured with juniper or wild cumin. It can have a bit of goat's milk as well.
