tombea

Alpine cow's milk cheese

Named after the mountain rising above Magasa in Brescia province, tombea is a rare mountain cheese produced in large flat cylinders according to traditional methods in alpine pastures between May and September.

In September, tombea stars in the Magasa's Festa del Formaggio.
