hard cheese from Trento

Mature grana-style cheese that originated in the 1920s, when a boy from the Val di Non married a girl from Lombardy, who introduced the Grana Padana method. It has a golden rind and straw coloured paste, and can be eaten as table cheese as well as grated over pasta.
