crispy aniseed flavoured wafers

Lamporecchio, in the province of Pistoia, is the birthplace of two Tuscan aniseed flavoured sweets: berlingozzo and brigidini, thin crispy wafers, made fresh outdoors (or more likely today, sold ready-made in plastic bags) at any village festa.
