cagionetti

fried sweet ravioli

This is a rarefied Christmas treat made in the Abruzzo. The dough is made from flour, olive oil and white wine, while the filling is made of chocolate, chestnuts, chickpeas, almonds, rum, lemon zest, cinnamon and honey (or mosto cotto).

Also spelled calgionetti or calagiunitt
