Also known as macarun chi fèr, miuich or ferratelli, minnicchi made by rolling the pasta strips around a thin iron rod.
Other names for pasta rolled on rods across Italy include manatelle, strascinari, capunti, frusciddi, minuich, rascatielli, cavatieddi, cicatelli, cicatidde, mignuicchi, cazzarille, ciufele, cavasuneddi, gnuchitti and gnocculi.
