ciceri e tria

chickpeas and tagliatelle

This is a famous dish in Lecce: homemade tria (tagliatelle) with ciceri (chickpeas) cooked with onion, carrots celery, cherry tomatoes and garlic, and topped with parsley and red pepper flakes. Sometimes some of the tria are deep fried to make a crispy garnish.
