cococciata

zucchini stew

In the Sabine hills, zucchini are called cococcia; this stew includes onions, tomatoes, eggs, parsley, stale bread, pecorino and garlic in a vegetable broth.

In late June, Paternò in Sicily holds a Sagra della cococciata.
