pisarei e fasò

bean-shaped pasta and beans

pisarei e fasò

Or pisareie fasoi. A classic cucina povera dish from Piacenza and the Bassa parmense where the pasta looks exactly like the beans so you can't tell them apart. A cheap, filling dish that was popular in the Middle Ages along the Via Francigena, the pilgrimage route from France to Rome.
