Especially popular in Trentino's Val di Non, these are made with the grated potato, a bit of flour, salt and fried in oil or lard, and served with speck, cheese, beans and vegetables as part of a light meal. Singular is tortel.
There's even a Confraternità della torta e del tortel da patate in Sporminore.
