Schiz
soft fresh white 'cooking' cheese
A cheese similar to Tosella, Schz or Schìz is produced around Belluno, traditionally by herdsmen for their own consumption. It's popular baked with polenta, or on pasta, or as Schiz impanato—breaded and fried, and ideally served with a side of wild mushrooms.
