Inside the museum

This new museum, a branch of the Museu Etnològic on Montjuïc is housed in the beautiful Gothic palace on Barcelona's most beautiful Gothic street, showcases art from the Americas, Africa, Asia and Oceana: Christian paintings from Ethiopia, guardian reliquary figures from Equatorial Guinea, Japanese prints and Javanese shadow puppets, remarkable pre-colombian works from Central and South America and masks from Oceana.

Hours Tues—Sat 10am—8pm; Oct—Apr 10am—7pm; Sun & bank hols 10am-8pm

Adm €5, €3.50 ages 16—29 and 65 and over, under 16 free. Free the first Sunday of each month, and Sundays after 3pm. Combined ticket with the Museu Egipci €12
