Arco del Meloncello

Outdoor Baroque

Arco del Meloncello

This outdoor Baroque extravaganza was designed in 1732 by Carlo Francesco Dotti and marks where three of Bologna's longest porticoes intersect: one to the Certosa di Bologna in the north, one the east to the Porta Saragozza and the city centre, and the Porticato to the southwest, leading up to the Madonna of San Luca.
