Lollipops

Sucettes go back to the Middle Ages, when aristocrats who could afford sugar liked to lick it off a stick— similar to the still-produced suce miel.

Lollipop fans should try the excellent pointed ones made by Pierrot Gourmand since 1892, and Brittany’s sucettes du Val André, handmade the old-fashioned way in copper cauldrons since 1928.
