clementine

mandarin hybrid

Corsica produces many of France’s juicy seedless clementines, the most popular of the 300 varieties of mandarines that appear on the market just as winter begins, with their dark green leaves and cheery promise of vitamin C to fight winter colds; they are designated IGP.

The other clementines available in France are usually a bit bigger and sold without their leaves and come from Spain.
