Mettwurscht
German-Alsatian sausage
Strong flavoured garlicky raw pork sausage, Mettwurscht is cured and then smoked. It comes in either a firm or spreadable version. The former is often served with sauerkraut, while the latter is a popular appetizer on rye bread.
