Barbecue de brochettes de poulet - merguez - chipolatas (avril 2021).

Anything skewered on a stick is a brochette. In summer, French meat counters are stacked with various kinds of brochettes on wooden sticks, marinated in different sauces, ready to pop on the grill.

The sticks themselves are called brochettes pour barbecue.
