Tourte de blettes

Nice is the home of tourte aux blettes (or tourta de bléa), an unusual sweet-savoury dessert pie.

The pastry is made of flour, baking powder, egg, olive oil, salt, sugar, water and lemon zest; the filling is Swiss chard, pine nuts, raisins, almond powder, eau-de-vie, sugar, eggs, apples (or pear purée), olive oil and parmesan. The final touch is the icing sugar on top.
