sea squirt
An increasingly rare delicacy in Marseille, harvested from the rocky bottom of the sea bed, violets de mer (sea squirts) have iodine rich, vitamin packed yellowish orange flesh much appreciated by aficionados on a plateau de fruits de mer.
Also known as figues de mer, violets de roche or according to some, as the Viagra de la mer.
