cigarette russe

crispy tube

cigarette russe

Available in every French supermarket, these crispy tubes were so-named because Russians used to roll their cigarettes diagonally, unlike the French. They’re often stuck in ice cream desserts like pair of rabbit ears but they are also stuffed, usually with sweet stuff as in the Mirliton de Pont-Audemer or Michelettes.
