σκορδαλιά

Μπακαλιάρος - Σκορδαλιά

Garlic sauce, with salt and olive oil, thickened (usually) with boiled potatoes or bread, but there are a hundred variations. It's often served with fried cod or hake.

On the Ionian islands it's sometimes called aliada.
