Deep fried doughnuts that resemble mini-churros, coated in a syrup of lemon, sugar, cinnamon and cloves when hot, then served at room temperature. Also known as τουλούμπα (tοulοumpa) 'pumps' in Turkish (from the pastry bag 'pumping' them out into the oil). From an old Ottoman recipe.
