antikristó

αντικριστό

A specialty of Cretan shepherds, antikristó means 'opposite the fire' (nothing to do with the Antichrist!): a lamb or kid is sliced into quarters, salted then arranged on a circular scaffolding around a large open fire to slow cook for hours.
