Melíchloro

Μελίχλωρο

Also known as μελίπαστο (melípasto), this sheep's milk cheese translates as 'tender honey'. It comes from the island of Límnos, and usually made in the late spring; after to set to dry for a spell, it hardens and tastes a bit like feta; it's good for saganáki or with pasta dishes.

They also make it on the neighbouring island of Chos.
