Parcharotýr

Παρχαροτύρ

A traditional Pontian cheese made today in the Central Macedonian city of Kilkis, Παρχαροτύρ (Parcharotýr) means 'high mountains'. Made with semi fat cow's milk, flavoured with herbs and then smoked and slowly matured for a least a year.
