Poukia Lerou

Πουγκιά Λέρου

Fried 'pouches', made in a pastry flavoured with orange and lemon zest, filled with ground and blanched almonds, orange and tangerine peel, and bread crumbs, then fried in olive oil and soaked in a sugar and honey syrup, thencovered in sugar.

Also known as Λέρικα πουγκιά (Lerika poukia).
