boubária

μπουμπάρια

In Megara, western Attica, they make these unusual sweet-savoury snacks. The wrapping is phýllo and the filling is made of greens, spring onions, raisins and sometimes petimezi, wine syrup instead of sugar. Then they rolled up like a bonbon and pinched on the ends, then fried until crispy.
